 Internet Publicity for 18 Plus

Anyone got any good ideas about this form of Publicity?

I'm convinced that there are a huge number of people out there, looking at a screen when they could be out in the real world meeting people.

There must be a way to reach these people.

I've started a "Cyber Group" for Huddersfield - using Yahoo Groups and Tribe - what do you think?

I've also found a service called Meetup that looks like it might work for us, it costs $12 a month, but might be worth it. Any opinions?

Thanks to Corinna Teale for putting this event together at a cost of only £35 per member, it takes place on the weekend of Fri 17 - Mon 20 June 2005. The venue is Dalesbridge near Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales.

A National event held in the North, “SADY” promises to be reminiscent of JAC for those with long memories.

Thanks to Midland Area Publicity Officer Lisa Ward, Leeds Group were contacted by Vue cinema magazine and offered a good deal on advertising. Northern Area has agreed to part fund the advert which will benefit Leeds, Bradford and Rothwell groups to the tune of 100, each Group will then pay 25 each.

Northern Area will of course also consider equal funding for Publicity designed to cover Northwich 18 Plus and Lincs Quest.

« Result #7 on Nov 2, 2004, 2:51pm »

The highlight of the Northern Area 18 Plus year is the Christmas Disco, which in 2004 takes place at The Strafford Arms, The Bull Ring, Wakefield on Saturday December 11th, it’s a fairly swanky venue and will be decked out in Christmas decorations.

The whole thing starts at 7:30pm with a bar extension until 11.30pm and finished at 12.00 midnight. The main bar stays open until 2:00am. There will be a prize raffle and the 2004 Linda Street Trophy will be awarded.

Thanks to Glen Anderson (Leeds Group) who discovered a fantastic venue for the event.

Hope to see you all there.
